PawStatus is a personal pet care coordination and record-keeping tool. It is NOT a veterinary medical device, diagnostic tool, clinical monitoring system, or substitute for professional veterinary care.

PawStatus does not analyze, interpret, evaluate, diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any animal disease or condition. All information stored in the app is user-entered and is not independently verified, validated, or audited by PawStatus.

No Veterinary Relationship

Use of PawStatus does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). PawStatus is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any veterinary practice, veterinary professional, or animal health organization.

No Health Claims

PawStatus does not analyze lab results, recommend treatments, provide severity ratings, or replace veterinary judgment. Structured fields within the app (such as categories, dates, and notes) exist solely for your organizational convenience and do not constitute clinical data entry, medical charting, or health assessment.

Notification Limitations

Push notifications and reminders are provided on a best-effort basis. Notifications may be delayed, fail to deliver, or be missed due to:

  • Device settings (Do Not Disturb, power saving modes)
  • Operating system restrictions on background processes
  • Network connectivity issues
  • Server outages or maintenance
  • App updates or reinstallation

You should NEVER rely solely on PawStatus notifications for time-critical medication, feeding, or care tasks. Always maintain independent backup reminders for critical pet care tasks.

Professional Veterinary Care

Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for your pets. In case of an emergency, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately.

Do not delay seeking professional veterinary care based on information stored in or displayed by PawStatus.

Data Accuracy & Your Responsibility

PawStatus relies on information entered by you and members of your household. The accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of this data is solely your responsibility. PawStatus does not verify, validate, or audit the accuracy of any user-entered data, including medication dosages, feeding schedules, or care records.

Limitation of Liability

PawStatus and its creators shall not be held liable for any harm, injury, illness, or death to any animal that may result from:

  • Missed or delayed notifications
  • Inaccurate data entry by users
  • Any interpretation of data displayed by the app
  • Reliance on the app as a sole source of care coordination
  • Technical failures or service interruptions
  • Any use of the app as a substitute for professional veterinary advice
